So many times in our lives we forget to celebrate the simple joys in life. The holidays become stressful and frustrating as we rush around trying to make that “perfect” memory. I wanted to take a moment to stop myself during my own busy holiday to remember to celebrate and give thanks to those people in my life that have given me unwavering support and comfort this year. To extend a hand to new friends and followers and say “Thank you – for just being you.”
As many of you know, I’m not a hugely religious person, so for me holidays are more about spending time with those I love and appreciating the joy of the past year. It’s been a trying year, but we have to learn to let go of the pain and hardships, learn from the mistakes and past, and embrace the love and bliss we’ve found along the way. One of my favorite quotes is from Denis Waitley and follows:
Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.
What a truly beautiful thought for this holiday. May you find true happiness and bliss within yourself, this is the gift I wish for each of you.
Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Joyous Festivus, Blessed Winter Solstice, Happy Feast of Winter Veil, Happy Pancha Ganapati, Blessed Yule, Happy Soyal, Blessed Bodhi Day, Happy Saturnalia, and, last but not least, Merry Christmas!
Wishing you and your loved ones all the joy and happiness of the season. May the upcoming year be filled with love, light, success and abundance. Sending all my love and support, and thank you for being my friend in this world.
Whatever we are waiting for – peace of mind, contentment, grace, the inner awareness of simple abundance – it will surely come to us, but only when we are ready to receive it with an open and grateful heart.
